Experience You Can Trust

If you’re looking for an attorney who measures success by how much conflict she creates, I’m probably not the right fit.

If you’re looking for someone who will give you honest advice, help you understand your options, and guide you through your divorce with a clear strategy and steady judgment, that’s exactly the practice I’ve spent almost 20 years building.

I am the founder of Allen Law Firm, PLLC, a boutique family law practice serving clients throughout Brazos County and the surrounding areas, including College Station, Bryan, and nearby communities. My practice focuses exclusively on Texas family law, including divorce, child custody, property division, enforcement actions, modifications, and other family law matters.

Most of my clients aren’t looking for a courtroom battle. They’re professionals, business owners, parents, and established individuals who simply want to move forward with as little unnecessary conflict as possible. They want realistic advice, a clear plan, and an attorney who will tell them the truth, even when it’s difficult to hear.

That is how I practice law.

More Than Two Decades of Family Law Experience

After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, I earned my law degree in 1999 and began my legal career with the Texas Attorney General’s Office in the Child Support Division.

During my time with the Attorney General, I assisted families in hundreds of child support and parent-child relationship cases before eventually becoming a Managing Attorney of one of the local offices. That experience gave me an extensive understanding of Texas family courts, litigation, negotiation, and the realities families face when legal disputes affect children.

In January 2008, I founded Allen Law Firm so I could provide a different kind of family law experience one centered on personal attention, thoughtful strategy, and helping clients build the next chapter of their lives instead of remaining trapped in conflict.

My Philosophy

Every case is emotional.

Not every case has to become a war.

Some lawyers define themselves by how aggressively they litigate. I define my practice by helping clients make good decisions that protect their future.

That means understanding your priorities, identifying what truly matters, avoiding unnecessary legal expenses, and developing a strategy that fits your goals—not someone else’s idea of what a divorce should look like.

I intentionally work with clients who are ready to move forward. Many tell me some version of:

“I don’t want a war. I just want a fair outcome and a plan.”

Those are exactly the clients I enjoy helping.

My job isn’t simply to obtain a Final Decree of Divorce. My goal is for you to leave the process with clarity, financial stability, and confidence about what comes next.

What Clients Can Expect

Clients often describe my approach as calm, direct, and reassuring.

I explain the law in plain English. I set realistic expectations from the beginning. I answer difficult questions honestly, and I don’t encourage conflict simply because conflict generates legal fees.

At the same time, when litigation becomes necessary, I am fully prepared to advocate for my clients’ interests in court.

Experience has taught me that good legal representation is rarely about having the loudest voice. It’s about making the right decisions at the right time.

Life Outside the Office

Like many of my clients, I’ve learned that life sometimes requires starting over.

After successfully completing treatment for cancer, I have an even greater appreciation for resilience, perspective, and focusing on what truly matters. That experience reinforced something I had already learned from practicing family law for decades: difficult seasons do end, and people are often stronger than they realize.

When I’m away from the office, you’ll usually find me traveling, planning my next adventure, spending time with my Miniature Schnauzers, or working on my newest hobby is quilting. I enjoy creating something lasting with my hands, and I appreciate the patience and attention to detail that quilting requires. Those same qualities shape how I approach my legal

practice.

Helping You Move Forward

Choosing a divorce attorney isn’t just about finding someone who knows the law. It’s about finding someone whose judgment you trust during one of the most important transitions of your life.

If you’re looking for an experienced Texas family law attorney who believes in clear communication, practical solutions, and thoughtful strategy, I’d be honored to help you take the next step.
